We’ve got an all-new episode of “Giants Rewind” at 7:00 p.m. with Carl Banks and Bob Papa. Every Wednesday the duo looks back at the previous week’s game and dissects the team’s play. This week they will examine the Giants’ 31-27 comeback victory over the Arizona Cardinals, including Eli’s extraordinary fourth quarter performance.
Here are some of Banks’ thoughts on the game: “I was confident they would be 3-1 after four weeks, even with the injuries, but they still have some work to do – they need to get the run game tuned up and they need to stop the run a little bit better. But the pass offense has been very good and will always keep them in a game. Last week we saw vintage Eli with the late-game heroics.”
Looking ahead Sunday’s 1:00 p.m. game against the Seahawks, Banks suggests paying close attention to Seattle running back Marshawn Lynch: “The Giants can’t take Seattle for granted this week. Marshawn Lynch is a good running back and the Giants have to do a better job of stopping the run.” Banks said.
For more from Banks and Papa on the win over the Cardinals, tune in tomorrow night and every Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. on MSG Plus. And check out “Giants Opening Drive LIVE” every Sunday morning at 10:00am on MSG Network for a live, hour-long preview of that day’s game.
