Giants offensive coordinator Kevin Gilbride said he instructed Eli Manning to change the call on the play he got hurt. But Gilbride was hoping Manning would alert everyone on offense before doing so.
With Giants starting quarterback Eli Manning already sidelined with a head injury, the Giants will now also be without backup Jim Sorgi for a few weeks because of a shoulder injury.
Giants reserve quarterback Rhett Bomar took all the snaps at Wednesday's practice in Albany as Eli Manning and Jim Sorgi recover from injuries. Bomer passed for 67 yards and a touchdown in Monday's victory over the Jets.
The only healthy Giants quarterback in practice Wednesday was Rhett Bomar. The team attempted to alleviate the situation by re-signing former Holy Cross quarterback Dominic Randolph.
The Giants have a limited number of single-game tickets available if you want to see Brandon Jacobs and Big Blue in person at the New Meadowlands Stadium.
