NY Giants place running back Brandon Jacobs and cornerback Aaron Ross on injured reserve

The Giants signed rookie quarterback Rhett Bomar to the active roster Thursday when they placed running back Brandon Jacobs and cornerback Aaron Ross on injured reserve.
