Brandon on the Trade Block... Giants need to stay away!

By Die Hard - In ReeseWeTrust.blogspot.com 7/4/09
The Denver Broncos have kept Brandon Marshall off the trade market since his trade request a few months ago. Marshall has reportedly asked the Broncos to trade him on multiple occasions since the Broncos traded Jay Cutler. Marshall and Cutler have a very strong relationship on and off the field and Marshall was not thrilled when the Broncos traded their franchise quarterback, which initially prompted the trade request. Cutler has also said that he would love to be re-united with his favorite receiving target in Chicago. The Bears have reportedly had no interest in the disgruntled receiver. Since then, the Broncos have opened up to the idea of trading Marshall if they get enough in return for the pro-bowl receiver. The Broncos have reportedly asked for a 1st round pick in return. With the Giants pursuit of Braylon Edwards before the NFL Draft, we would expect the Giants to at least make contact with the Broncos about Marshall.

I am hoping the Giants do not even make the phone call to the Broncos. Marshall has had a very tough past couple of years with his personal life. To learn more about Marshall's run-ins with the law, go to: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q4A56xTC0s. As great of a talent of Marshall is, the Giants must stay away for another disgruntled wide receiver. With everything the Giants went through last year with Plaxico, the last thing that they need is to deal with another receiver with baggage. I think the Giants should go with the current crop of receivers that they currently have on the roster and let them battle for playing time. In Reese We Trust!
